Truly be inclusive
*As a Yoga teacher, it is our job to be inclusive the best we can. When we host retreats, workshops, classes, etc. we don’t know who we will encounter. You can assume but never assume because surprises do happen.
*I’ve created a non-overwhelming course to help you understand about the Deaf /hard of hearing community and what to do when you have someone joining you on one of the events you host.
*Having someone deaf/hard of hearing join yoga retreats happens more often than you think because I have gotten Direct messages on Instagram and e-mails regarding how to communicate and help their experience feel at ease without them fighting for equality.
*If you are a Yoga teacher who hosts events, this is a good informative course that you can refer to at any time.
*You learn some ASL Yoga signs :)
